This was a lot of hard work but allowed me to achieve a B for my Coursework, so I am very happy with it!

'Before' 'After'

This was my first ever attempt to make a cartoon image, and I made this on Photoshop CS5 using the 'pen tool', 'brush tool', and the 'blur tool'

I basically went over the original image using the pen tool to get the basic outline, but to get the detail on specific things I had to work with what I had and add slight details as the original image is not great quality, and is over exposed due to the flash.

This took me roughly about 7 hours give or take, and I feel that it is time well spend do to the outcome.

To add colours I used the brush tool, and for things such as the corner of my eyes, my thumbnail and my lips I used a number of colours and used the 'blur tool' so I would mix them together for a better effect.

Finally, to finish with I added shadows, and to do this I selected the brush tool on another layer and coloured in the places I felt necessary, and once this was done, all simply had to reduce the opacity to give off the shadow effect.

I have been using this program for A-Level Product design, and I was recently browsing through my previous pieces of work, and have found the following pieces of furniture that I designed:

Wardrobe

Double dressing table

Bedside cabinets

At the time of creation, these pieces were designed to come as a set as the designs all match to a certain extent, and the pieces gel well with eachother.

A2 Project 1

For the past few months I have been working on a project for my A-Level Product Design course, and below is the product which I will make:

This is a storage unit where the drawers do not open the conventional way.

The top drawer has a multi-direction opening mechanism, and the bottom two slide to the side. With careful designing and a high standard manufacturing method, this product will be both sustainable as well as aesthetically pleasing.

It may sound cheesy, but it is simply used to show the peace and beauty inside of everyone.

I have recently installed the Blogger application on my Android smartphone, and this will allow me to upload and pictures that I may take, or upload anything that I see useful for my design log!
